Sermon for August 4, 2019 – Hosea 11:1-11

Pastor Josh here.

I have been away at Camp Ewalu this past week for confirmation camp. It’s time to get caught up on a few things, including posting the weekly sermons. Last week, I picked up with where we left the story of the prophets. Elisha has passed and now Hosea steps forward to call the northern kingdom of Israel away from politicking and back to following the Lord. Hosea is a fascinating book filled with peril and promise. This particular sermon focuses on a poem in chapter 11. You may find the week’s readings here if you wish to read along.
